Island Veer Chemie (IVC), was founded in 1994 in Hyderabad, India as the first ‘stand-alone’ manufacturing site of the Island Group. The facility covers a total area of 43,000 square meters (approximately 432,000 square feet), and is currently our primary manufacturing facility for fine chemicals.
Initially IVC was commissioned for the production of Sodium Azide for the safety airbag restraint industry and for the pharmaceutical industry. Through many years of research and development, coupled with extensive capital investment by the parent company (IPI), IVC’s manufacturing capabilities have been expanded to include tetrazoles, cesium compounds, nicotinates and nicotinate derivatives.
IVC first received its ISO Certification in 1998 and continues to hold this certification. IVC is currently ISO9001:2000 Certified.
We take pride in successfully meeting the stringent quality and performance requirements of the automotive industry, the pharmaceutical industry and many catalyst manufacturers in Europe and the United States. IVC is an internationally qualified supplier to many of the world-leaders in these industries.
