ISLAND VEER CHEMIE PRODUCTION

General

Covering a total area of over 43,000 square meters (432,000 square feet), IVC's manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, India serves as Island Pyrochemical Industry’s primary manufacturing facility for fine chemicals, such as Azide & Azide derivatives, Cesium Products, NCHC and NCHC derivatives.

Azide Products

Azide Products Manufactured At Island Veer Chemie include:

• Sodium Azide (Air Bag Grade)
• Sodium Azide (Pharmaceutical Grade)

IVC opearates a totally dedicated facility for the purpose of manufacturing Sodium Azide with a capacity of about 400 MT/Annum. In addition, IVC is fully equipped with an in house testing facility for Sodium Azide.

At IVC, Sodium Azide is manufactured via Methyl Nitrite Route using Hydrazine Hydrate. Material made from via this route is preferred over the conventional sodium metal route (especially for pharmaceutical applications) as there is no risk of having residual sodium in the final sodium azide. 

• 5-Amino Tetrazole (Air Bag Grade)

5-Amino Tetrazole (5-AT) is primarily used in the automotive airbag industry, with applications also in the Military field. IVC has a dedicated facility for the manufacture of 5–AT, with an annual Capacity of IVC is about 100 MT per annum, as well as a fully equipped testing facility, to ensure supreme quality of the product.

Cesium Compounds

IVC’s  12,000 sq. meter (120,000 sq. ft.) Cesium manufacturing facility have a production capacity exceeding 17 MT per month. IVC operates an entire line of stainless steel reactors, mildsteel glass-lined reactors, line filters, nutsche filters, holding tanks, weight machines, pumps, power generator, water cooling system, chilling plants, steam boilers, and vacuum systems.
