The following is a partial listing for the category. Please visit the Island Ordanance Systems (IOS) Website for more information about aerial bomb components, inlcuding the M70 Series Cable Assembly Series .
The M70 Series Cable Assemblies are the method used to transfer fuze power from the aircraft to electronic bomb fuzes and target detecting
devices to initiate the energetic explosive. Utilizing the MK122 safety
switch, the Cable Assembly transmits DC/RF voltages from the charging
receptacle to the fuzes in the nose and tail of the bomb.
The M70 Series includes the M72, M73, and M74 Cable Assemblies. Each
assembly is identical except in length. The total length of the cordage and
fuze plugs is approximately 31 inches for the M72 and slightly longer for
the M73 and M74.
